Presentation
The municipality of Houat Island plans to restore the remains of the "old port", in particular the dikes of Port Er Beg and Port Collet. The objective of this restoration, apart from the preservation of the island's maritime cultural heritage and the protection of the isthmus, is to set up a seasonal sailing center within the old port, a leisure structure that is currently lacking on the island. We can see the deployment of current meters-houlographs and topographic measurements as part of this project.
Main actions
In order to support the island of Houat in its project, the LGO - UBS was in charge of carrying out this study which includes 5 tasks :
-
- Characterization of the environmental context of the site
- Identification of the hydro-morpho-sedimentary processes.
- Quantification of sediment volumes to be moved and realization constraints
- Potential impacts of the planned work on the site
- Recommendations for site development and management
