About
Mouncef Sedrati is a lecturer, teacher and researcher in Coastal Geomorphology and Marine Geology in the Department of Life and Matter Sciences (SMV) at UBS. He holds a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DEA) in Coastal Geomorphology, an Engineering Degree in Oceanography and a PhD in Coastal Geomorphology. He is a member of the Coastal Education and Research Foundation (CERF) and a member of EUCCFrance. His main current research topics are coastal processes, hydrodynamics and the impact of climate change on coastal morphology. He also works on the development of ecological alternatives for coastal hazards protection. He coordinates national and international projects on the same topics. For more than 6 years, he started to develop participatory citizen sciences dedicated to the coast with local associations and actors and he created in 2016 the OCLM (Citizen Observatory of the Morbihan Littoral), the first observatory in France where science, citizenship, sustainable management, evolution and dynamics of the coastline are mixed.
